About
The mission of the La Veta Creative District is to inspire
and cultivate our diverse
rural community through the development of the arts and creative industries.
LA VETA CREATIVE DISTRICT is a hub of arts and cultural activity. La Veta’s uniqueness lies in its position, located on the Highway of Legends, a Colorado Scenic Byway and nestled below the majestic Spanish Peaks. It is a gateway to the Spanish Peaks and the San Isabel National Forest; half-way between Denver and Santa Fe in absolutely beautiful Colorado high country. There is an unusually high concentration of artists here and the town operates as a regional hub for all kinds of creative expressions - art, music, theater, literature and healing. There is truly an eclectic mix of cultural opportunities here from poetry readings, to a wide range of musical concerts to art exhibitions in every medium. It is as if life slows down and becomes more focused here, allowing a real peace to flourish, creativity to blossom and a sense of well-being to grow in every person.
