Nature Canyon Arts - Artists on Main
Artist
Jolynn Chappell’s first career as an avian and exotic veterinarian of over 30 years, gave her
the knowledge of anatomy and behavior of these amazing creatures that give us
such delight to watch and interact with. She now applies that knowledge and
passion as an emerging artist, as she discovers the fascinating world of bronze
sculptures.
Being a Colorado native, Jolynn’s art is influenced by the native birds and wildlife
as well as the psittacine parrots that she has owned and raised for over 40 years.
Jolynn and her husband reside in Southern Colorado where she enjoys her horses
and birds and taking their dog on walks along the canyon rim while doing a bit of
birding along the way.
Her work has been accepted into the Sculpture in the Park Show (Loveland CO),
Lone Tree Art Expo, The American Women’s Artists 2022 Spring Online Juried
Show and the Alpine Holiday Show in Ouray, where her pieces also received
awards. Jolynn is an Associate with Distinction Member with the American
Women’s Artists, and a member of Spanish Peaks Arts Council in La Veta Colorado.
