Since 2008, the annual Holiday Art Walk Fundraiser has been held on the first Saturday of December. What a tradition of giving and support it has always received! This year, ticket sales were down by one-third, we believe, due to the many other events in our county that day, and a very cold, windy evening.
The La Veta Creative District (LVCD) would like to thank everyone who purchased tickets in support of the 2023 Holiday Art Walk Fundraiser that helps support non-profit art education classes in La Veta throughout the year.
We also want to express our gratitude to all of the businesses in our county that displayed posters and to our Huerfano World Journal for their timely publicity! Most of all, we are grateful to participating galleries and the venues that participated with delicious dishes, desserts, and hors d'oeuvres.
A master drawing for prizes was held at Spanish Peaks Arts Council (SPACe). Thank you to those who donated their art to fill out the prize table.
Funds that are raised supplement funds for local art awards and adult and youth art happenings and workshops.
